Am 2. und 3. Juni fand in Brüssel die gemeinsam vom EMR und der Europäischen Rechtsakademie ERA organisierte Annual Conference on European Media Law 2022 statt. Hochkarätige Rednerinnen und Redner aus Praxis und Wissenschaft informierten über aktuelle Entwicklungen insbesondere zum geplanten EU Media Freedom Act, dem Digital Services Act DSA, audiovisuelle Mediendienste sowie zu Daten und Medien. Prof. Mark D. Cole, wissenschaftlicher Direktor des EMR, schloss die Konferenz mit seinem traditionellen jährlichen Überblick über grundlegende medienrechtlich relevante Rechtsprechung des Gerichtshofs der Europäischen Union und des Europäischen Gerichtshofs für Menschenrechte.

The Annual Conference on European Media Law 2022, jointly organised by the EMR and the Academy of European Law ERA, took place in Brussels on 2 and 3 June. High-profile speakers from practice and academia provided information on current developments, in particular on the planned EU Media Freedom Act, the Digital Services Act DSA, audiovisual media services as well as data and media. Prof. Mark D. Cole, Scientific Director of the EMR, closed the conference with his traditional annual overview of fundamental case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights relevant to media law.
